Ricofloor is holding an event to encourage more distributed and flooring contractors to join a recycling scheme for vinyl floors that has already dealt with over 600 tons of waste. The event is called Bacon Butty, and customers who come in to speak to a Recofloors representative will receive a voucher for a free bacon sandwich.
As well as this free sandwich, they will also receive starter packs which include collection bags, material specifications and a brochure. Axion consulting representative Jane Gardner has said of the event, “the Bacon Butty event is a fantastic way to bring people in so we can give them more information about the recycling scheme. It will also be an opportunity for us to bring in new collectors. We currently have over 330 people working collections in the UK. There are also several waste transfer stations and flooring distributors who have drop-off sites.”
Recofloor was founded in 2009 and is designed to show that those in the flooring sector have a commitment to recycling and sustainability. Axiom consulting is the manager of the company and works with distributors, contractors, and local authorities to deal with the growing volumes of waste produced in the flooring sector. The scheme helps these materials by keeping them out of landfill and is capable of giving flooring firms a green rating which will appeal to consumers.
